Jefferson Book Awards

The Jefferson Book Award Program was established by the University of Virginia Alumni Association to recognize outstanding high school students during their junior year and to prompt these students’ interest in applying to the University of Virginia. The recipient is a junior whose school faculty consider to be an exceptionally talented scholar, leader and citizen.

The award is presented by UVaClub volunteers around the world to a junior who the high school considers to best represent the Jeffersonian ideals of scholarship, leadership and citizenship. The well rounded student, rather than the person with the highest GPA, should be chosen for this award.
