The Alumni Career Services Center provides comprehensive assistance to all U.Va. alumni throughout the course of their careers. As a result, we serve alumni with professional experience in all industries with a wide range of competencies and knowledge. Now you can easily access this talented pool to fill your hiring needs.
Job postings are now available at no charge to U.Va. alumni in the password-protected HoosOnline Network.
- Your 30-day listing will be targeted to other U.Va. Alumni on their home page and included under the general Careers tab.
- Once your job opening is posted, U.Va. Alumni can refer the listing through their networks to an even wider group of qualified candidates.
For Alumni Employers: Join the Network free of charge and post jobs! Click here, create your account, and click the “Post a job” link. To view job postings, click the “Careers” tab, where you can search or browse the job listings.
For Non-Alumni Employers: To post a position free of charge on the Alumni Career Services site, click here to complete the submission form. Because the HoosOnline Network is open only to U.Va. alumni, you will not be able to view/edit your listing once it is submitted.
To increase your marketing efforts, we suggest you also consider utilizing CAVLink:
In cooperation with the University of Virginia's University Career Services and NACELink, we are also pleased to offer the use of the "CAVLink" online job posting system. This system is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to employers and to alumni. It is a particularly helpful tool to reach young alumni within 5 years of graduation.

To Post Jobs (Employers):
- Register for a CAVLink employer account to begin the easy process of sharing your opportunity with current U.Va. students and alumni.
- This system allows you to create, update and edit open positions, and deactivate them once they are filled.
- Additional fees will apply if you choose to post with multiple schools.
- If you encounter technical difficulties or have questions throughout the process, please contact UCS Employer Services at cavlink@virginia.edu.
To View Job Postings (Alumni):
- Register for a CAVLink alumni account with your current e-mail address and the U.Va. password. The password can be found on the Career Assistance page in HoosOnline.
- All students and alumni should read and agree to the standards outlined in the Student Agreement Form (pdf).
- If you receive an error message, please click on the “Forgot My Password” tab. The system will generate a new password and e-mail it to you. If you still have difficulty logging-in, please send an e-mail to cavlink@virginia.edu.
