"RSS," or Really Simple Syndication, is an increasingly popular way for many users to keep track of updates to their favorite Web sites. It allows you to identify content that you are interested in, and have it delivered directly to you.

There are a variety of ways to receive and view an RSS feed. Using a Web-based news reader (that displays the feed on a personalized Web page), news reader software that is dowloaded on your personal computer, or even web browsers, you can receive regular updates detailing what's new on specific sites by pointing the news reader to the appropriate feed address. All news readers check for updates automatically at regular intervals, no need to ever refresh.
