- Class Councils and Trustees: Alumni Association staff advises and supports the Second- and Third-Year Class Councils and the Fourth-Year Trustees in selecting officers, coordinating the class gift, and planning events such as the Lighting of the Lawn, Class Dinners, and Casino Night.
- University Career Assistance Network: The Alumni Association manages UCAN, a database filled with alumni who have agreed to mentor students thinking about various career fields. It's one of the best networking tools at U.Va.
- Internships: The Alumni Association offers more than 100 internships. The time commitment can range from a weekend (for Reunions) to a summer or a full year. Earn experience in marketing, event planning or accounting and benefit from networking opportunities.
- Scholarships: The Alumni Association administers more than 100 scholarships and provides the only fund that allows Alumni to establish scholarships which are often in honor/memory of U.Va. alumni.
- Parents Committee : The Parents Committee is a division of the Alumni Association that serves to enrich the education and daily life of students. Some of the group's past projects have included supplying safety whistles to all first year students, providing study breaks during exams, sponsoring CultureFest, providing organizational support to the New York Recruiting Alliance and sending 21st birthday cards to students reminding them about alcohol safety.
- The U.Va. Fund : The U.Va. Fund offers student organizations secure banking with reduced fees and great service. The U.Va. Fund services over 2500 accounts including the Women's Rowing team, the Cavalier Daily , Corks & Curls , the Virginia Gentlemen and University Programs Council.
- Awards: The Alumni Association presents the Distinguished Student Award to the student who has made numerous contributions to University life and has excelled in all of them. The winner receives a $1000 cash prize, an inscribed and framed certificate and lifetime membership in the Alumni Association. In addition, the Association presents the Distinguished Professor Award and the Distinguished Staff Service Award.
