Ways to Support the Alumni Association

There are many ways to support the U.Va. Alumni Association. You can make a gift online now or learn about other giving options below. Most donors make gifts and pledge payments by check, credit card, or automatic bank drafts. Others take advantage of tax savings that come from giving appreciated stocks, shares of mutual funds, or real estate. A growing number of alumni and friends incorporate gifts into their financial and estate planning. Click on any of the options described below to begin initiating the giving process.

Automatic Bank Draft

Deductions begin within 30-45 days after the form has been processed and they will take place on or about the 15th day of each month. Your monthly bank statement will itemize this draft when it occurs.

Check

To make a gift via check, simply print out the form at the link below, complete the form entirely and mail it with your check to the address indicated on the form.


Online

You may make a credit card gift with your Visa, Master Card, Discover, or American Express card using this secure form. If you prefer to make a gift over the phone, please call Gift Accounting at 434-243-9000.

Gift Planning

A growing number of alumni and friends choose to support the Alumni Association through financial or estate planning. This process is known as "gift planning" and the gifts are referred to as "planned gifts."

Mutual Funds or Stocks

Gifts of stocks and mutual funds are coordinated by Gift Accounting office of the U.Va. Fund. Proceeds from the sale of these assets will go directly to suport the efforts of the Alumni Association.
